My grandmother had an operation for diverticulitis in late 2005 and again in early 2006. She had been fine mentally before this, but ever since, she has been very forgetful: forgetting to take her medications, when she eats, misplacing things, and she has a preoccupation with needing to have bowel movements. She's always complaining of not feeling well, especially right before we're ready to take her somewhere. She has a car, but drives it less and less even up to our home for dinner and she lives right in town. She hardly goes out of her house. My gram's short-term memory is just terrible anymore. My mom is the only one in the area who takes care of her and is getting frustrated. My uncle lives 2 hours away, rarely comes in, and only calls my gram once a week. She was supposed to have an MRI done, but cancelled, and it's difficult to get her to go to the doctor. She sees nothing wrong and gets upset when you think something is. Could this possibly be the start of dementia?

My car won't pick up speed!!?

It seems to be if i've been driving awhile it becomes slugish when picking up speed. I recently changed the car batterie and break caliper which seems to have made a difference, but it's still slow. It depends on the type of work for one thing. If you worked in an embly line, I suppose you could work for 8 hours theoretically, and accomplish something measureable. But imagine if you had to do a number of tasks in an office. If it's a Dilbert style office, you probably would spend at most about 3 hours of real work, and the rest of the time doing pretend work like staring off into space, checking your email, getting up to get coffee. If it's a job like that, working all night would not help that much, as you'd just do it slower and worse the next day.

oh wow, this is so sad. I think, since the mother is also obese, she probably is just very uneducated on proper nutrition. That does not by any means excuse the fact that she is putting her son's health at serious risk! I think the first step would be a court order that the family MUST be counseled by a dietitian and her son needs to be put on an exercise routine under the supervision of a cardiologist. If she refuses, or if things don't improve after she has been educated on the harm she is doing to her child...then I would call it child abuse and yes, her son should be taken away from her.

You need to find out why she keeps blaming you for things. the way to go about it is to be earnest and careful with your words. Do not be accusatory or she will go on the defensive. I am shy and have no friends please help?

I really don't feel comfortable talking to people because usually they want to end up play fighting with me (which I am very sensitive about these kind of things) or patronizes me for what I say. They truly are depressing, however try to see if you can move her to an isted living facility instead as these usually are much more livelier and feel like a living community that is full of life as opposed to the average life-less nursing home. In the meanwhile, you should try to bring games that you can play with her while you are there, music and movies that she likes, and decorate the room the way she would previously decorate her home so that she and your family feel comfortable when you pay her a visit. I'm a newbie to container gardening. My family who has the in-ground type gardens tells me to throw ground up eggshells, coffee grinds, banana peels, etc. as "natural fertilizer" in my containers because they do that in their regular gardens. I have narcolepsy , I was sent to a neurologist for seizure-like episodes with no positive EEG?

He did autonomic testing and concluded that my cardiac functions were fine but that my sensory functions on my hands and feet were 97% lower than anyone else who had ever taken that test! He said he did not know why , nor would he even hypothesize. He also concluded that I have a rare disorder called cataplexy which is directly related to severe narcolepsy not properly treated. I have been trying for almost 3 years to have my second child. I've tried Clomid and some injectibles, had laparoscopy and bloodwork which is all fine. I'm looking into acupuncture now. Too much money for IVF. Any stories or advice would be appreciated.

Pregnancy Blood Test Too Early?

I have been having pregnancy stuff for the past week and a half to two weeks - right after I think I could have messed up....disregarded it and chalked it up to possible flu coming on the first week but couldn't figure out why I was cramping all weird...not normal menstral cramps...funky feeling twingy cramps that happen at all times of the day and night - once so bad it actually ticked me...weird... started to hurt, but I just disregarded that as i normally have that during PMS...than I started to smell weird stuff..or just noticed it...duraflame logs at the supermarket made me hold my breath cause the smell was so strong...I no strangly hate avocado, brownies, and crave cheeseburgers when i never eat red meat...and now today I felt all queasy...first told myself it was my vitamen, but not later in the day when I just smelled a brownie and felt repulsed by it and ran to get yogert...than was hungry every half hour after that...and lightheaded whenever I felt hungry.

High School Dilemma! Braces. :/?

Im sorry you have some much work going on in your mouth. Many kids have braces and many kids have to have teeth extracted. Its hard not to feel self conscious about them especially in high school. Honestly you will probably notice them a lot more than any of your friends or clmates. There is no easy solution for this but hang in there, you will not be in braces forever this is a temporary thing and when your done your teeth will look great and people will be jealous. I know how you feel i am 23 and back in braces for the 2nd time. I also work at an orthodontist office so im trying to tell people there not that bad but i know how difficult they can be. Good luck

My suggestion would be to stick with the library destruction and remove the green from the deck. Make it more consistent. Try adding some more creatures. That way it would help you get their creatures into your field of play. I would imagine it would be very well worked against large creature decks. I'm in a long term relationship, were the person is in the military and constantly separated. Once in the relationship, he was very affectionate. Now he acts like he never wants me around him for long, and constant disappoints me and seems like his cheating, or doing some else wrong behind my back. His personality has changed, and only seems to care about things at work, and seems like he constantly lies. yes you should get one, they are good companions and very easy to train because they are smart. they are sweet and loyal but very protective also, which is a good thing.

My dog has started growling aggressively?

quite recently a friend stroked our dog quite vigorously at the rear of her back, i don't know if this has triggered this but she start acting differently almost instantly, since this has happened she has started growling aggressively towards my children and some other friends, she has also started to collect small toys in her bed, she has gone from a happy loving dog to a cowering strange dog within about 10 days please help as the dog she is at the moment is one we don't like. She is a 1yr old jack russell, i haven't smacked or shouted i have done the normal thing by telling her she's a bad dog an then ignoring her an she goes out for walks every day and the children use to play with her daily as well.

we have the super pet exotics and house 3 rat girls in it. The rat manor is ok, but the wire floor is not ideal for their feet. the super pet has solid floors, is much much bigger then it looks, and hence much bigger then the manor. ive seen both in person. We love the superpet. The plastic lvls are easy to clean just by rinsing off and gives them tons of room to run and play.

When 2 people are married, they should be committed to each other. When you are cheating on your wife/husband, then you obviously don't love them and there is no point to being married. The big bang is a misnomer. Current theory suggests that a singularity formed - no one knows why - and then expanded into the current universe - which is still expanding. Because E=mc2, there is no need for matter in the primordial singularity, only energy. As that energy expanded, it became matter as it cooled. Someone else can explain things about evolution.
