Im tryin 2 put more music on ma ipod buh i dunno how 2 plz helppp?

when i click on sync it tellz me dat if i click on sync it will delete ma exsiting files? wat do i do 2 add more filez without deletin da otherz? can sum1 gimme a step by step guide? plzzz help
