Help ,can anyone give advice ,how to help prevent colic witha wind sucker ,feed ,supplements,?

My horese is a TB I adopted a year ago ,he is a wind sucker ,He just coliced on me and a 4 day stay at the Vets he is OK now but I cant get any advice from my Vet as to what feed might be best ,or anything I can do to help prevent colic ,The Vet just ignores me when I ask questions ,I know there is no cure ,but would like to know how to help reduce the chance of colic
